BEATNIK’S CAFÉ

Beatnik’s Café is a beer and wine bar, located in Marion, Indiana. Specializing in live music, it has become increasingly important for them to have an online presence, focusing on listing upcoming events, location, and directions. They need a simple, straightforward system for organizing an events calendar and displaying it to customers. We have worked together, often after hours, going over their needs and desired user-interface adjustments to make sure they are getting a system that is powerful, but useable to anyone who may need to add events, adjust times/dates, or insert the upcoming bands bio.

For the design/layout, we decided on a simple, dark color theme with bright, expressive typography, to help frame any pictures of/from the venue, as well as integrating well with the bar’s existing logo and branding. We are very excited to launch the new site, which is slated for a Spring, 2011 launch.
